Obama's Propaganda Runneth Over

"We hear your voices. I have an unyielding belief that you will determine your own destiny and seize the promise of a better future for your children and your grandchildren. And I say that as someone who is committed to a partnership between the United States and Egypt... There will be difficult days ahead. Many questions about Egypt's future remain unanswered, but I am confident that the people of Egypt will find those answers."

- President Barack Obama, declaring that his counterpart, Hosni Mubarak, recognizes the status quo as “unsustainable.”

Though Obama claims he told Mubarak that a "transition" must begin immediately, Mubarak has vowed to serve out his term
"to ensure a peaceful transfer of power.” Al Jazeera reports from Tahrir Square in Cairo, "protesters are furious after Mubarak's 'audacious' speech." So why, if Obama hears their voices and Egyptians have lost total faith in Mubarak, does Obama still trust him?

  1. This is all a stall tactic.
    Nothing more nothing less.
They are trying to figure out how to assure Israels interests in the M/E.
If Mubarak is still slithering around in Egypt come this Friday after the Mosques let out.
    All hell will break lose.

This is by Chris Hedges, one of my favorites.
It is well worth your time, if you have not seen this.

  2. Essentially our position as well.

Obama's remarks on Tuesday should shame him. Today's attack by Mubarak's supporters and Obama's "shock" at the images exemplifies U.S. foreign policy.
